Change Log
New features, clearer rules and small improvements to your time at sea. Here is what has changed in Iron Tide.
Japanese, Korean and clearer navigation
- Added Japanese and Korean across the interface, campaign story and guides.
- Added a dedicated change log and improved the top navigation across desktop, tablet and mobile screens.
Clearer timers and smoother turns
- Online deployment now has a 60-second countdown. When it expires, placed ships stay put and the remaining ships are placed automatically.
- Online turns last 30 seconds. A timeout fires a random shot; three consecutive missed turns forfeit the match (two while disconnected).
- Turn banners, a timer bar and an audible cue make it clearer when to act. The enemy board dims while you wait.
Keep playing from older links
- Links from the previous site now lead to the matching game modes and rules pages.
More languages and a tidier layout
- Added Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Russian, Italian, Polish, Dutch, Turkish and Ukrainian, with a language switcher.
- Improved links and spacing across desktop and mobile, and fixed a clipped sign-in dialog.
Weekly tournaments and profiles
- Arena rankings reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC; each week's winner joins the Hall of Fame.
- Optional Google sign-in, generated public names and country flags let players keep a ranked profile. Guests can play without an account.
Rules and guides, close at hand
- Added rules, fleet sizes, strategy, game history and answers to common questions.
- Added printable grids for playing with pencil and paper.
Set sail
- Launched Classic and Tactical battles, with sonar, torpedoes and airstrikes in Tactical mode.
- Added a 20-mission story campaign with fog, mines, night battles and boss encounters.
- Added private rooms with shareable invites and rematches, plus music, sound effects and narrated story scenes.
